Boasting generous frontages and ocean glimpses, the first release of land in the New Year at Lakelands Private Estate is expected to generate keen interest from homebuyers.
Stage 30 which comprises 46 premium lots located in the western precinct of the Estate will be released next Saturday, 31 January.
The lots will be available on-site at the Lakelands Private Estate Sales Office – on Catalina Drive, off Mandurah Road – from 9.00am on a first-come, first-served basis.
Ranging in size from 530sqm to 633sqm, the lots are priced between $149,000 and $179,000, with an average price of $168,000.
Stage 30 comprises some of the most sought after land in the 2,500 lot estate due to its elevated position, meaning some homesites offer ocean glimpses towards nearby Madora Bay.
The lots also feature large frontages making them perfect for boat owners, an added convenience for those looking to take advantage of Mandurah’s renowned boating, fishing and recreational spots just minutes from the Estate.
The homesites are also located only 150 meters from one of Lakelands’ centrepiece landscaped parklands and within walking distance from the future town centre.
Peet Limited Managing Director and CEO Brendan Gore said recent releases at Lakelands have been met with strong interest from buyers, attracted to the Estate’s prime location.
“Lakelands offers an enviable list of attractions and is located close to numerous schools, major shopping facilities and other amenities,” said Mr Gore.
“Plus the Mandurah train line makes it even easier for those wanting to work in the city, yet live in a family-orientated neighbourhood.”
This latest release adds to the range of homesite options available throughout the Estate including easy to maintain cottage style lots ranging in size from 317sqm to 447sqm with an average price of $139,000.
For families looking for more room to move, the Estate also features a number of traditional lots for between 451sqm and 647sqm with an average price of $151,000.
An added attraction for all purchasers is Peet Limited’s Flying Start package, which at Lakelands Private Estate includes fencing, front garden landscaping and reticulation and architectural advice on the solar orientation of their new home, making it easier and more affordable to build and establish their new home.

Funding boost available for Wellard community groups
Applications are now open for the new The Village at Wellard community grants program and local community groups, projects or events looking for a funding boost are being encouraged to apply.
Since its inception four years ago, the program has provided 34 different community projects with around $45,000 in much needed funds.
For 2009, the community grants program – which is funded by joint venture partners the Department of Housing and Works and Peet Limited – is taking a new approach, with applications for grants of up to $1,000 being accepted on an ongoing basis, making it easier for new groups starting up at The Village at Wellard to apply during the year.
Peet Limited Managing Director Brendan Gore said the community grants program was an important part of the project’s commitment to building the local community.
“The changes that have been made to the program recognise the growth of the community over the past 12-months,” said Mr Gore. “It’s really pleasing to see the number of new groups starting up and it’s important that support is available to them,” he said.
“In most cases the grants are “seed funding” that helps volunteer groups, service agencies, sporting clubs, individuals, and associations kick-start a project or an event, or strengthen their position in the community.”
This year priority will be given to projects and activities that The Village at Wellard residents, demonstrate a high level of local community support and have partnerships or involvement with other local groups.
The program always looks to support groups and organizations working in a range of areas, from environmental, art, youth, heritage and culture, to sporting, leisure and recreation. If your group or organisation can contribute to The Village at Wellard’s sense of community pride and identity the grants team would like to hear from you.
Last year’s successful grant recipients included the Kwinana Little Athletics Club – which is currently enjoying its first season at its new home at the Wellard Community Pavilion and oval, the West Coast Blues Club, Leda Junior Football Club (also based at the Wellard Community Pavilion), Kwinana Tigers Hockey Club, The Smith Family – The Coffee Mob, North Parmelia Little Athletics Club and The Town of Kwinana’s ‘The Children’s Party’.
All interested community groups should contact Erin Borrett at Creating Communities Australia at erin@creatingcommunities.com.au or on 9284 0910 to discuss their request and obtain advice about their projects and grant application.

Final release at Ashton Heights before First Home Owners Boost expires
First homebuyers looking to take advantage of the Federal Government’s $21,000 boost have one final opportunity to secure a homesite at Peet Limited’s Ashton Heights before the incentive runs out on 30 June this year.
Ten traditional lots and one cottage homesite will be released next Saturday 24 January, as part of the estate’s last scheduled release before the First Home Owners Boost expires.
The lots will be available on-site at the Ashton Heights Sales Office – off Yandella Promenade in Tapping – from 9.00am on a first-come, first-served basis.
The 11 premium titled lots are located just a short walk from two landscaped parks along picturesque tree-lined streets. Ranging in size from 440sqm to 770sqm with an average size of 637sqm, the lots are priced between $189,000 and $257,000.
An added attraction for buyers is Peet Limited’s Flying Start incentive package which provides quality boundary fencing and a front garden landscaping package including design consultation with a landscape architect.
Peet Limited Managing Director and CEO Brendan Gore said he expected a good response to the release.
“Ashton Heights has remained highly sought after by homebuyers because of its prime location in Perth’s northern corridor and its vibrant and friendly community,” Mr Gore said.
Ashton Heights is ideally located on elevated land in the middle of the well-established Tapping area, offering views of the Darling Range while being positioned to receive cool breezes during summer.
The estate boasts landscaped parks, picnic and barbeque areas, children’s playgrounds and playing fields, as well as major shopping centre facilities nearby.
This 600-home community is just 1.5km from the Wanneroo Township, three kilometres from Joondalup City and a short drive from the coast’s beautiful clean white beaches and three golf courses including Joondalup Resort Golf Course.
The rehabilitated wetland area is another attraction for families who enjoy the outdoors, with walkways providing a relaxing way to appreciate the surrounding natural environment.
There are also three primary schools, two high schools and two private schools close to the estate, as well as nearby universities campuses in Joondalup, all of which are within easy reach by public transport.
Residents also enjoy the benefit of underground optic-fibre cabling allowing easy, low-cost access to communication technology such as broadband internet and cable television.
At the release, successful buyers will need a deposit of $1,000, with the remainder due on settlement.
To register your interest or for further sales information please contact Peet Limited’s Ashton Heights Sales Representative, Blake Casey, on 9206 4919 or 0431 095 246, or visit www.ashtonheights.com.au.
