Lakelands putting residents in the picture

Residents at Lakelands Private Estate are invited to dust off their picnic rugs and break out the popcorn ahead of two free movie screenings planned for later this month.

Peet Limited is proudly sponsoring ‘Movie Mania’ at Lakelands, and will be hosting two evenings of free entertainment for the local community.

All residents are invited to Ballard Meander Park on Friday April 18 for a screening of the Academy Award winning animated adventure, Ratatouille.

Ratatouille tells the story of Remy the rat and his dream of becoming a chef in Paris. However, under pressure from his family to follow a different career path, Remy and his pal Linguini, set in motion a hilarious chain of events that turn the city upside down.

On Saturday April 19, the family-oriented Disney movie Wild Hogs will also be screened. Starring John Travolta and Tim Allen, the story revolves around four friends who decide to ‘rev-up’ their suburban lives and embark on a cross-country motorcycle adventure.

Both films start at 7pm and as a large turn-out is expected, residents are encouraged to arrive early to secure the best viewing spot.

The Movie Mania event is a fantastic way to meet and socialise with fellow Lakelands residents, and a perfect opportunity to enjoy the balmy autumn evenings.

The event is just one of many attractions Lakelands residents enjoy with Madora Beach and Mandurah’s renowned boating, fishing and picnicking spots just some of the regular favourites just minutes from the estate.

Lakelands Private Estate is also well located close to numerous schools, major shopping facilities and other amenities and the new train line makes it even easier for those wanting to work in the city, yet live in a family-orientated neighbourhood.
